How to Solve a 3×3 Rubik's Cube step by step easy explanation

Solving a 3x3 Rubik's cube can seem like a daunting task, but with a few simple steps, anyone can learn how to do it. Here's a beginner's guide to solving the Rubik's cube.

Step 1: Familiarize yourself with the Rubik's cube

Before you start solving the cube, it's important to understand the different parts and how they move. A Rubik's cube is made up of 6 sides, each with 9 smaller squares. The sides are typically colored white, yellow, green, blue, red, and orange. There are three layers on each side that can be rotated, allowing you to scramble and solve the cube.

Step 2: Learn the notation

In order to communicate with other Rubik's cube solvers, it's important to learn the standard notation. The notation uses letters to describe the different rotations, with 'U' standing for the upper face, 'D' for the down face, 'R' for the right face, 'L' for the left face, 'F' for the front face, and 'B' for the back face. The letters are followed by either a single prime (') or double prime ('') to indicate a 90-degree or 180-degree turn respectively.

Step 3: Solve the white cross

The first step in solving the Rubik's cube is to create a white cross on the upper face. To do this, you'll need to move the pieces around until a white square is in the center of each of the 4 sides. Don't worry about the other colors yet, just focus on making the white cross.

Step 4: Solve the white corners

Next, you'll need to solve the white corners. This is done by moving the pieces around until a white square is in each of the 4 corners on the upper face, with the correct adjacent color on each side.

Step 5: Solve the middle layer

Once you've solved the white cross and white corners, it's time to solve the middle layer. To do this, you'll need to move the pieces around until the middle layer is completely yellow.

Step 6: Solve the yellow cross

Now that the middle layer is solved, it's time to solve the yellow cross on the upper face. To do this, you'll need to move the pieces around until a yellow square is in the center of each of the 4 sides.

Step 7: Solve the yellow corners

The final step is to solve the yellow corners. To do this, you'll need to move the pieces around until a yellow square is in each of the 4 corners on the upper face, with the correct adjacent color on each side.

Congratulations, you've solved the Rubik's cube! With a bit of practice, you'll be able to solve it faster and faster. Don't get discouraged if it takes you a while to get the hang of it, solving a Rubik's cube is a challenging but rewarding experience.
